Season 17 Auditions

Audition Information:

Our typical audition is a 90 minute class where the goal is to have fun and get to know one another. Momentum is a highly collaborative company so there are opportunities for improvisation, movement creation, as well as learning different styles of choreography. While all styles are welcome, Momentum gravitates towards a contemporary modern aesthetic though our dancers have backgrounds in jazz, ballet, hip hop, tap, burlesque, aerial, and more. There is no need to prepare anything in advance. Just show up ready to be open to new possibilities in your own movement and artistry and be willing to share who you are and what you're about.

Rehearsal Schedule:

Momentum maintains a 3 day/week rehearsal schedule (with additional rehearsals times as needed for performance preparation); Tuesday/Thursdays 6-8pm and Sundays 10am-12pm. You are also encouraged to train outside of our own rehearsal schedule.

Momentum is a community focused company and we often engage as guests in outreach performances, interdisciplinary arts presentations and performances, and other local events that spring up on our calendar. We are looking to work with artists who are highly motivated, interested in performing in out-of-the-box spaces, passionate about the arts, and creatively curious. It helps to not be afraid of heights too...
