Stephanie is a homegrown Alaskan who began dancing as a toddler. She spent her youth training and performing with Dance Spectrum Alaska and Alaska Dance Theatre during which time she took part in guest artist workshops and attended Summer Dance Lab at Whitman College in Walla Walla.
During her freshman year of college, she performed with the Western Washington University dance department and was selected to perform in a featured guest artist's piece; as a department member, she also performed in the community as part of dance education for local youth. After transferring to Northeastern University in Boston, she performed and choreographed for the Northeastern University Dance Company for two seasons. She also performed with a local jazz company, Rainbow Tribe, with whom she traveled to New York City for a dance convention with classes by Wade Robson and Brian Friedman, among others.
Since returning to Anchorage, she has performed with TAU in Jesus Christ Superstar and Cabaret, the Anchorage Symphony Orchestra, UAA's New Dances, The Light Brigade in Transitions and Over Beyond Across Through, Spenard Jazz Fest, and in various fashion shows and other small projects.
