Josette Serrill


What moves me?

hiking, backcountry skiing, a big, empty room with mirrors and music, art & design, driving around foreign countries with my hubbie with no agenda, coffee and Reese's

Josette Serrill grew up on Whidbey Island, Washington where she started began studying tap and jazz at the age of six. She began training in both ballet and hiphop in high school, joining the Whidbey Island Dance Theatre. In her first year with the Whidbey Island Dance Theatre she was cast as the oldest baby flower in their production of the Nutcracker. A year later, she was performing principal roles such as the Rat King and Flower Fairy. Josette also participated in high school cheerleading, traveling to Hawaii as one of two dancers chosen from Washington to perform at the Hula Bowl. Josette received her degree Graphic Design with a Dance minor from Western Washington University. She was able to begin her graphic's arts career by designing posters for the WWU Dance Program. The day after graduation she drove up to Alaska and is now the Web/Systems Manager at the Alaska Center for The Performing Arts. Josette is also a member of the Underground Dance Professional Company 'Hardcore'.
