Stephanie Huggett was born and raised in Palmer, Alaska.  She started her dance journey at the age of 6 at Dancer’s Workshop in Wasilla, Alaska where she developed a taste for ballet & jazz under the direction of Anita Mitchell.  She attended the summer workshops of modern and hip hop, and jumped at the chance to try out Latin and ballroom when the studio was sold to the owners of Anchorage Classical Ballet Academy, Farah and Michelangelo Canale.  After joining the community at UAA she dove right into the UAA Ensemble in the fall of 2007, dancing 3 seasons with the ensemble and having the chance to work with fantastic choreographers like Brian Jeffery, Leslie Ward, Augusto Soledade, Katherine Kramer, Marianne Kim, and Brad Garner.  She also danced a season with Alaska Dance Promotions salsa team performing at various venues around Anchorage.   She is excited and proud to be a new member of Momentum Dance Collective
