What's Your IMPACT
IMPACT will culminate in spring of 2015 with a series of performances by Momentum Dance Collective and a host of other community-based performers. These performances will include contemporary dance, images, conversations and other visual elements presented through digital projection. If you are part of an Anchorage-based performance or social service group, and want to be part of our performance series, please let us know. We want to highlight the people and artists from the 6 Anchorage neighborhoods IMPACT is performing in by featuring them on stage, at the beginning of each show. We are looking for speakers, singers, performance artists, social activists, choir groups, dance company's or crews, and are open to any ideas you might have if you're interested in sharing what you do. If you feel like you can make an impact, please tell us about it below.
Do to the subject matter of IMPACT, and the complex social issues we are discussing, this production is recommended for ages 12 yrs and up. This includes the performers or groups that are interested in partnering with us.
For the final performance, we'd like to show a wider diversity of views of Anchorage, and we'd like to do it through photography. In April, the show will performed in five locations around Anchorage, and we're specifically looking for photos of those urban/suburban communities: Spenard, Mt.View, North Star (Valley of the Moon area), Sand Lake (including Kincaid), Abbott Loop, & Scenic Foothills (Muldoon).
