Brian Belcher

 

Originally from in Alaska, Brian graduated from a Private Boarding school in Spangle, WA where he discovered his love for acrobatics at the age of 15.  Brian began his journey with movement in 2003 when he started his training with the High School Upper Columbia Academy sport gymnastics team. In 2005 Brian received a scholarship to Southwestern University in Keen, TX. He turned down the scholarship to attend school at Walla Walla university, there he was a music minor and pursing a degree in Occupational Therapy.  Brian later returned to his home in Anchorage, Alaska to join the Alaska Air national Guard. While in the Guard Brian taught Recreational Gymnastics at Arctic Gymnastics and Cheered on Denali Gyms International Level 5 Cheer team. In 2011 his team accepted bid and competed in the World of Cheerleading competition at the international level placing 8th in the world.  Brian then started dancing with Underground Dance Company Joining them as member of their company also called Hardcore. While with Underground Brian competed in the American Grand National dance competition taking first. Along with competing Brian has performedat multiple venues around Anchorage, He was also apart the first ever show that was put on by Underground Dance Company/ Hardcore titled R.A.W.  the Real Attitude Within. this also gave him the opportunity to  be a part of the opening act for Brian McKnight in 2013. Brian has dance and preformed with many groupsthroughout Anchorage such as Momentum Dance Collective, Anchorage Classical Ballet Academy, Anchorage Dance Theater,  and Dancers Workshop (located in Wasilla, Alaska).
